Roadrunner Families, We Want to Hear Your Voice!

Hello James Rutter Families,

Please read the attached letter from the Superintendent. It explains the Social Emotional Learning and Culture/Climate survey students will be taking this fall. As parents, you have an opportunity to preview the questions on the survey and have the option to opt your student out of the survey. If you wish to do so, please return the form by November 1, 2019. The letter from the Superintendent has an earlier date, but we are requiring the forms back by November 1.

Thank you,

Sonia Quiñones Rambo

RYDE SacRT for Student at Schools in SacRT Svc Area

October 1, 2019

Dear Parent/Guardian,

The Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) is offering Elk Grove Unified Students who reside in the SacRT service area and/or who attend a school located in the SacRT service area a free SacRT fare transit pass.

This free pass will allow students full access to SacRT services (i.e. buses and light rail) for one year from October 1, 2019 through September 30, 2020.  Use of the pass is valid any day of the week during SacRT transit hours. Passes are not transferable and are to be used only by eligible students.

In the upcoming weeks, we will be working through those schools located in the SacRT service area to distribute the passes. The student free fare transit passes will be made available in the form of a sticker to be placed directly on the student’s school identification card. Please note that elementary school students will receive a unique card provided by SacRT.

Note: If your student receives a pass and you do not want them to participate in the program you can simply remove the sticker pass from the student’s identification card.

This is not an EGUSD sponsored program and as such EGUSD is not responsible for circumstances associated with occurrences using SacRT services or student conduct while using SacRT services. Also, student information will not be shared with either SacRT or the local jurisdictions as result of this program.

For more information about the RYDEFreeRT program, please see the attached flyer and/or visit SacRT’s website:  https://www.sacrt.com/apps/free-sacramento-student-fares/
