  • Bring Your Parents to Lunch Day is next Tuesday.  We had a great turnout last month, so encourage your family to come again!

 

  • Our college and career field trip is to Sacramento State University on March 16 is now FULL!

 

  • Attention 8th graders:  Do you like helping others?  Do you enjoy encouraging others to be their best?  If so, you might be a perfect fit for Leadership.  Leadership applications are now available at the student store.  Pick one up, fill it out, and bring it back to Mrs. Poppers at the store by March 13.

 

  • MUSIC IN OUR SCHOOLS - GUESS WHO:
    • Did you guess that yesterday’s clues were Mr. Shrader?!?
      • Now see if you can figure this person out…
      • This person WAS in choir in middle school, high school, and college!
      • They listen to New Country & KNCI and have met Pat Benatar.
      • This person attends concerts and musicals regularly and would like to learn to play the piano.
    • Have a guess at who this is? Go to room J40 and collect your prize!

 

  • The 8th grade promotion trip to Great America is May 8 and will cost $90.  If you would like to sell chocolate to help pay for your trip, or maybe even go for free, come by the Student Store and pick up a chocolate letter.  You must get your parent or guardian to sign it, turn it in, and you'll get a box of chocolate to sell.

 

  • Attention to all Rutter athletes, the Track and Field season will be here shortly. If you are one of the faster kids in school then you should be a part of the team. But track isn’t just about running, there is also throwing and jumping events too. If you need a physical form please stop by Mr. McLaughlin or Mr. Jaeger’s classrooms to pick one up. All you need for track is good attendance and a good attitude. The season starts on Monday. We will meet outside the gym. Make sure to have a pair of shorts and athletic shoes.

 

  • For all boys and girls interested in playing basketball after school, come sign up with Mr. McLaughlin in B-5 for intramurals. Intramurals will start next week or the week after. You must be enrolled in Acalates or IYT to participate. If you are not in Acalates pick up an application in the office from Ms. Mayra or Mr. Leiva. Intramurals will take place after Acalates supper and will include skill development with Coach Curtis, open gym and a 5 on 5 tournament. Stop by B-5 during lunch or before or after school to talk to Mr. McLaughlin.
